Notwane FC 2-2 Sharps Shooting Stars

Former BUL FC, Kira Young and Entebbe Young FC midfielder Lawrence Ndugga got off the mark in style with Sharps Shooting Stars in Botswana Premier League on Saturday.

Ndugga had missed the club’s previous four engagements due to a delay in attaining a work permit which he finally got a day earlier (Friday).

The Ugandan offensive midfielder put Sharps Shooting Stars ahead in the first minute of the game.

Tshepo Malgas made it 2-0 15 minutes later taking his tally to four goals this campaign.

However Sharps Shooting Stars threw away their 2-goal cushion in the second half conceding goals from Lesego Lubinda and a Tihalefo Molebatsi penalty in the 50th and 62nd minutes respectively hence settling for a 2-2 draw at the Molepolole Stadium.

Sharps Shooting Stars remain 4th placed on the Botswana Premier League table with 10 points garnered from 5 games.

Elsewhere in the league, Ivan Ntege’s Township Rollers thumped Sankoyo Bush bucks 4-1. Ntege was an unused substitute.

Extension Gunners beat Prisons XI 1-0 but no Ugandan took part in the crunchy encounter at the Lobatse Complex. Alfred Leku and an injured Francis Olaki didn’t turn up for the winning side same as Deus Bukenya and Martin Opolot for Prisons XI.
