Midfielder Fred Ategeka hopes to win Masaza Cup with Kkooki

Midfielder Fred Ategeka Akiki has renewed his contract with Kkooki as preparations for the 2020 edition of the Masaza Cup continue.

Ategeka who plays for Buganda Regional League side Kampala University FC Masaka, hopes to win the Masaza Cup with the 2006 champions.

“Today I decided to renew my contract with Kkooki and I promise to work together with the technical team and my fellow players so as to emerge victorious this year.”

Kkooki will be under the stewardship of Mbarara City’s Sadiq Ssempigi who will be assisted by former Gomba captain and coach Godfrey Wasswa.

Bulemeezi are the defending champions having defeated Busiro 1-0 in the final at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole thanks to Emmanuel Loki’s sole goal.

The Airtel Masaza Cup tourney is expected to kick off when the current health condition in the country normalises.
