Midfielder Amir Zake Kakomo has finally renewed his contract with SC Villa after lengthy negotiations between the club and his representative.
Kakomo has put pen to paper on a new one year contract after his initial two year contract had expired.
Blessed with neat passing and a knack of winning possession with ease, Kakomo was arguably one of the best central midfielders in the league last season and helped SC Villa finish significant third behind title contenders Vipers and KCCA.

He played in 21 league games and subsequently scored two goals against Wakiso Giants and KCCA on top of winning two man of the match accolades.
Kakomo joined the Jogoos in 2018 after a brief stint at KCCA and guiding Kiboga Young to a FUFA Big League promotion at the end of the 2017-18 season.
He is also a former Juventus Namasuba player and featured for Ssingo, Buwekula and Gomba in the Airtel Masaza Cup and Uganda Martyrs University Nkozi in the University Football League.
Goalkeeper Said Keni, right back Joseph Nsubuga and Moses Kiggundu are other players who already signed contract extensions at the club.
SC Villa have signed Martin Ssenkooto, Meddie Kibirige, Nasser Lukwago, Geoffrey Goffin Oyirwoth, Muhammed Ssenoga, Isaac Ogwang, Andrew Kiwanuka and Mike Sekiganda ahead of the new season.
