Micho fields a defensive side against South Sudan.

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin Sredojevic Micho has named the starting line up to face South Sudan’s Bright Stars today in the first leg of the second round of the CHAN 2018 Qualifiers at 4:30 pm.

In what looks to be a cautious approach,  the Serbian tactician has included defenders Nicholas Wadada, Timothy Awany,  Isaac Muleme, Savio Kabugo,  Paul Musamali and Bernard Muwanga in the starting line up.

Match officials will be led by Referee Idris Mehammad Osman from Eritrea.

KCCA fc dominates the line up with 6 players following a splendid 2016-17 campaign. Vipers has 3 players while SC Villa and Proline fc have one representative each.

Ismail Watenga, Nico Wadada, Paul Musamali, Timothy Awany, Savio Kabugo, Bernard Muwanga, Isaac Muleme, Muzamiru Mutyaba, Milton Kaliisa, Geoffrey Serunkuuma (C), Derrick Nsibambi.

Saidi Keni (GK),Adriko John, Deus Bukenya, Masiko Tom, Brian Majwega, Paul Mucurezi.

South Sudan will look up to Leon Uso Khamis and James Moga who scored twice against Somalia for inspiration against the cranes.

The return leg will be played on next week on 22nd July 2017 at the star times stadium Lugogo and the winner will face off with either Tanzania or Rwanda who are also playing on tomorrow 15 July at the CCM kirumba stadium in Mwanza.
