Micheal Buzangu carries Warriors to NBL semifinals as they eliminate JKL Dolphins

After sharing results of game 1 and 2, Pemba Warriors came back stronger in the final game and defeated JKL 79-69.

Warriors won the first game 77-65 but went on to lose the second game 65-72 hence pushing the series to game 3.

Warriors proved too strong for Dolphins as they dominated all 4 quarters, 21-11, 38-27, 62-38 and 79-64 with Micheal Buzangu running the show all through.

Buzangu scored a total of 30 points and promised more burning performances in the semis, he said,

“We are very grateful for the result, we are very ready for KIU, we hope to improve more and make it to the final and win it as well” said the shooting star of the night.

Philp Amenyi scored 14 points while JKL’s Makala Libe and Daniel Oraga scored 20 and 9 points respectively but they couldn’t save Dolphins from hungry Warriors.

Warriors will now face KIU Titans who eliminated UCU Canons. In another semifinal fixture, four time Champions City Oilers will take on Five time Champions, Betway Power and their first game will be on 10th- November-2017 in the series of 5.

In the women’s category, JKL Dolphins won game one of 3 defeating Magic Stormers, 95-51.
