Vipers SC have an opportunity of going level on points with KCCA if they manage to repeat what they did last season when they walloped Express FC 5-0 at the St Mary’s stadium.

The match however comes at a time when memories are still fresh of how referee Ronald Kirangwa and his assistants Sam Kakembo and Lydia Nantabo exhibited a high level of ineptitude on the 7th of November November last year at Muteesa II stadium.

Kirangwa controversially let an offside goal scored by Tito Okello in the dying stages of the match stand which later caused his retrospective ban for 3 years whereas his 2nd assistant Sam Kakembo received a more ruthless punishment of 5 years.

Vipers SC have picked the most points at home (21) having only lost once, won 7 and drawn thrice. On the other hand , Express have won more games away (4) than at home (3) signalling to the fact that they play with less pressure when away than at home.

The troubled ref awarded 2 penalties in the game. Tonny Odur and Daniel Mzee Serunkuuma converted for either side

The last seven meetings between the two sides have been bossed by Vipers who won on three occasions with Express Fc winning twice and only one stalemate registered.

For the first time this season , Express’ roving left wingback Disan Galiwango will miss a game due to suspension. Frank Tumwesigye can not face his parent club whereas the young and exciting striker Eric Kambale is still on the treatment table.

Defenders Arthur Kiggundu and Charles Musoke may be available for selection after sustaining knocks from the laboured victory over Ndejje.

For Vipers, Moses Waiswa may make a return after missing the last three matches against Tooro United, Bright stars and the routine stalemate with Onduparaka at the Green light stadium in Arua on match day 20.

Bashir Asiku returns in time to replace the injured Geoffrey Wasswa and the rock solid Livingston Mulondo.

Victory for the venoms will put them level on points with KCCA Fc whereas FC can move up to 7th with 31 points above Police FC the current occupants.
