Mbarara city to test Kajoba’s credentials as Mucurezi faces former paymasters

Fred Kajoba will begin his reign as Vipers SC head coach away to Mbarara City on Tuesday,28th January, 2020 at Bombo Barracks grounds.

Kajoba replaced Edward Golola at the helms of the Kitende outfit and will be aiming for a positive start.

In the last five matches between the two sides, Vipers SC has registered two wins and three games have ended in stalemates.

Both sides lost their previous league games to Busoga United and SC Villa respectively.

The first round meeting at St. Mary’s Kitende ended in a 2-2 draw.

Vipers SC are currently top of the Uganda Premier league with 42points garnered in 18 games while Mbarara City are 10th on the log with 22 points.

New Vipers SC tactician Kajoba says that they are focused and ready to put up a great performance

“We are still in the lead and not under any pressure ahead of our next games.” We are focused on working to give the team the best and the boys are fired up.” He stated.

Vipers SC captain Halid Lwaliwa is a doubt for tomorrow’s game while and Abdul Karim Watambala, who missed the Uganda cup defeat to Kajjansi United is back after shaking off a knock. Paul Mucureezi will be facing his former paymasters.

Mbarara City will look up Hillary Mukundane, Swalik Bebe and Brian Ahebwa for inspiration.

The visitors will look up Fahad Bayo who has 11 league goals this campaign for maximum points.
