Mbarara City will continue with their bid to strive away from relegation trouble when they visit Bright Stars who are also aiming to keep the distance away from the drop. The one who will take the day at Champions Stadium increases the chances of safety.
Only two points separate both sides, with Bright Stars sitting in the 11th place with 27 points collected from 23 games whereas Mbarara City is currently in 12th place with 26 points accumulated in 24 games.
Bright Stars comes in this contest after a 2-2 stalemate with Soana in their previous encounter at the venue for tomorrow’s game. Goals from skipper Nelson Ssenkatuka and Henry Kiwanuka ensured that they at least earn a point at their own yard.
Mbarara City on the other hand come into this fixture fresh from a 2-1 victory over BUL at Kakyeka Stadium, courtesy of goals from Segujja Swalik and Emmanuel Ibe Obinna. This was also the Ankole lions first ever victory since the start of the second round.

The first round meeting between the two sides ended in a 1-1 draw at Kakyeka Stadium, Mbarara. This was also the first time that both sides met in the topflight division
Bright Stars has a good performance at home in the 12 games they have hosted, they have drawn 6, lost once and won five times.
Mbarara City are yet to taste victory in 12 of the games they have played on the road.
Nelson Ssenkatuka will be the man expected to lift the home side for a positive result. He is currently the league joint top scorer with Vipers Dan Sserunkuma both on 11 goals. Jungu Methodius is the only injury concern for the hosts.
The Ankole lions will be without suspended duo of Hilary Mukundane and Clinton Kamugisha. Bassey Method is also out injured for this contest.
Simon Ssentumbwe is expected to fill Hilary Mukandane’s void. Sam Kawalya’s side will look at Emmanuel Ibe Obinna and Segujja Swalik for inspiration.
Victory for both sides will propel them to 9th placed leapfrogging BUL FC who are the current occupants.
