Mbarara city finally get off the mark with impressive win over Kyetume

Mbarara City recorded their first win at home with a comfortable 3-1 win over Kyetume FC at Kakyeka Stadium on Saturday.

Goals from debutant Henry Kitegenyi, Swalik Bebe and Wol Makweth ensured that Sadiq Ssempigi’s side maximize points at home.

Yusuf Ssaka scored the visitors’ only goal of the contest.

Two minutes after the recess, forward Kitegenyi gave the hosts the lead before Ssaka restored parity for the visitors in the 50th minute.

Bebe restored Mbarara City’s lead in the 58th minute.

Wol put the icing on the cake extending the home side’s lead.

The win sees Mbarara City move to 13th place on the Uganda Premier League log with 10 points while Kyetume are now 11th with 11 points in ten games.

Mbarara City will next play Police FC while Kyetume FC will entertain SC Villa in their next fixture.
