Mbarara City confirms new fans leadership committee ahead of new season

Mbarara City FC has announced new members of the club’s fans leadership committee that will operate with effect from 1st July 2021.

The committee is so far comprised of five members who emerged unopposed in the elections after no one else contested against them on the respective positions they stood for.

Bryte Biryomumaisho is the new fans committee chairperson and will be deputized by William Ahimbisibwe who is the new Vice Chairperson.

Livingstone Mugasha is the Secretary for Finance while Ibrahim Sekyanzi is the new Secretary for Communication and Mobilization.

Mansoor Kasujja is the Fans Secretary for Transport.

The position for the Secretary General remained vacant after no one applied for
it.

However it will be upon the newly confirmed committee to decide on the suitable candidate for that position.

The new committee is expected to formulate a new constitution for the fans, organize fans meeting, mobilize fans to buy membership cards and season tickets as well as bridging the gap between the club and the fans among others.

Mbarara City is arguably the most supported club in Western Uganda and putting up a new fans committee is one of the ways the club is undertaking to forge a way forward in the coming season.

The Ankole Lions finished the 7th on the Uganda Premier League table in the recently concluded season with 38 points.
