Police FC captain Tonny Mawejje has hinted at a potential sign out from the beautiful game at the end of the season after scoring for Police FC in their stalemate with Bright Stars.

The midfielder flashed an under garment that had inscribed lines with a message ” THE LAST DANCE OF A MIDFIELD GENERAL”

Mawejje Mawejje may have decided not to extend his stay with the Cops after joining them at the start of this season.

He had promised to bow out of the game in a respectable manner and so he has done, having guided Police to the semi finals of the Uganda cup and are bound to finish in the top six on the Uganda premier league table.

He also earned a recall to the national team that saw him represent Uganda in the CHAN championships in Morocco early this year.

” I just need to have a wonderful sign out of my career…

I am now the latest version of the Tonny Mawejje the people watched from day one. As I plan to sign out, I will serve and give football my best.”

Mawejje was quoted by Kawowo sports before being unveiled by Police FC at the start of the season.

On his special day, a 10th minute strike would have been good enough to win all 3 points for Police FC in their pursuit to pip Bright stars to the 5th spot.

However, Joseph Janjali had other ideas after sending a sumptuous free kick that beat Derrick Ochan into goal with only a minute left to play.

The result leaves Police FC 2 points behind Bright stars who currently occupies 5th place on 42 points.
