Ugandan’s U-20 team the Hippos hoisted the national flag so high with a master class performance of a 5-1 rout against South Sudan in the first leg of the U-20 AFCON qualifiers at StarTimes Stadium Lugogo in Kampala.

Speaking to the media at Lugogo after the game, Matia Lule the U-20 head coach noted that it was a big disappointment to concede a goal in this game but the red card that was shown to Mustafa Kizza may not greatly affect his team in the return match though he pointed that the left full back will not be missed . He said ;

“There was a disappointment of conceding but it is manageable. Southern Sudan came all out in the first half but in the second half they lost the steam. We shall definitely miss Mustafa Kizza but luckily enough we have a large pool of players in Uganda and am sure we shall find a replacement”.
