The tax collectors are earmarked as title contenders because they were arguably the busiest team in the primary transfer window.

Benjamin Nyakojo, James Alitho, Salim Wekiya, Joachim Ojera, Allan Mugalu, Steven Munguchi, Matthew Odongo Tayo, Vitalis Tabu and Yeseri Waibi among others were brought in to surge the tax collector’ title intent.

They are set to rise from the ruins of last season that saw them finish extreme 9th with only 9 wins garnered.

Ssimbwa’s men face a Paidha Black Angels side that has just appointed Richard Tamale Kiwanuka and Muhammad Kisekka as their tacticians on Wednesday, 2 days to the league kick off.

The West Nile outfit has been one of the least active clubs in the transfer window but managed to get hold of Bernard Agele, Julius Malingumu and goalkeeper Robert Kalumba.

URA will be without defender Paul Patrick Mboowa, new acquisitions Joshua Kawadwa and Robert Omunuk who are ruled out by injuries.

Paidha Black Angels will miss veteran striker Yuda Mugalu, Khalid Odagui and Brian Okumu who are also sidelined by the same cause.

Vitalis Tabu is set to face his former pay masters having featured for the Zombo outfit before joining SC Villa.

Ssimbwa will put trust in his new captain Shafik Kagimu, Said Kyeyune, James Alitho and Matthew Odongo to pick maximum points.

Their counterparts, Paidha Black Angels will seek inspiration from Abang Cromwell Rwothomio and Julius Malingumu if at all they stand a chance of getting a positive result.
