Onduparaka Fc will welcome Vipers Sc at Betway Greenlight Stadium on Saturday 28th November without their inspirational captain Rashid Toha who sustained a hamstring injury against Express FC.
Onduparaka Fc comes in this fixture on a good run of results having won 2-1 away to Express Fc and 2-0 to Soana Fc at home, whereas Vipers Sc had mixed results in previous two games losing 2-1 to table leaders Police Fc at Namboole and a 1-1 draw with Soana at St Mary’s stadium.
Last season in the two league meetings between both sides, Onduparaka Fc won 1-0 at the venue for tomorrow’s game and lost 4-1 in the return fixture at St.Mary’s Kitende courtesy of Brian Nkuubi, Tonny Odur and a brace from Erisa Sekisambu
The two sides also met in the Uganda cup finals of 2015/16 season at Nakivubo, Vipers Sc winning 3-1.
The hosts Onduparaka are unbeaten at home in the topflight division since their promotion in 2015/16 season, this has made Betway Greenlight Stadium in Arua a fortress.
Onduparaka Fc will be without forward Alfred Leku who is ineligible to play since is on loan from Vipers Sc and captain Toha Rashid who sustained an injury at Wankulukuku against Express, while Hassan Kalega, Pius Wangi and Benjamin Nyakojo all are sidelined on the visitors side with respective injuries.
Last season’s club top scorer Tonny Odur is however back having missed the previous two games due to technical reasons as to club head Jorge Da Costa.
Onduparaka will have their hopes of victory in attacking trio of Gaddafi Gadinho, Kabon Living and Samson Caesar Okhuti whose spectacular goal sealed three points at Express Fc.
Vipers Sc on the other hand will bank on inform attacking midfielder Milton Karisa and goalkeeper Ismail Watenga who is expected to have a busy evening tomorrow.
Vipers Sc Portuguese tactician Jorge Da Costs goes in this encounter knowing a win in Arua will be a big statement made to his title rivals and his stay at the club as the head coach.
Leo Adraa on the other hand knows a win will mean his side can dream of a title challenge in their second season in the top tier division.
