UPDF FC visits record champions SC Villa who are yet to lose a point at their home. They have so far hosted two games at the recreation grounds winning both of them against Soana and Mbarara City.

SC Villa have not lost a game against UPDF in the previous 4 encounters. In the 2015/16 season, both games ended in 0-0 stalemates and SC Villa won home and away in the 2016/17 when the team was referred to as Simba Saints.

Villa will miss the services of midfielder Vitalis Tabu who is out of the country for professional trials and first choice goalkeeper Samson Kirya is suspended by the league competition committee for improper conduct in the match against Vipers SC. Godfrey Lwesibawa was also suspended by the club for allegations of leading a player revolt.

Head coach Moses Basena returns on the touchline for the Army side after being out on national team engagements. They will also be without Joseph Othieno, Julius Malingumu and marks man Ezekiel Katende.

SC Villa were docked 2 points as punishment for failure to control their fans at St. Mary’s Stadium but they have the capacity to move up to 2nd on the table if they manage to grab all 3 points at disposal today whereas a win for UPDF can propel up to the top half of the table.
