SC Villa will surely go into the mid season break at the top of the Uganda premier league table.

They will seek to go into that break with at least a 5 point cushion but this will be only possible if they manage to sweep aside Kirinya Jinja S. S, a team that has done relatively well according to where they were last season at the same stage.

Paul Mukatabala the assistant coach SC Villa highlights the importance of this match and he says,

“The mood in the camp is positive, everyone is set for the match and all we aspire for today is victory “

“Kirinya are a much improved side but our target is maintaining our winning streak”.

Last season’s meetings between the two sides were both taken by SC Villa, winning 2-0 at home and edging Kirinya with a 1-0 narrow win in Jinja.

Tom Ikarah is expected to return in goal for Kirinya after being rested for the previous game and the rest of the squad are available. Head coach Charles Ayiekho will serve his second match of suspension.

SC Villa will be without Nicholas Kasozi who is out battling with sickness and Vitalis Tabu has not yet returned to training since the international break. The rest of the squad are available for selection and raring to go.

Currently in 11th on 18 points, a win will propel Kirinya Jinja S.S to 7th above URA, Bright stars, Mbarara City and Soana.
