Relegation fighting Express FC takes on a wounded Kirinya Jinja SS side at Bugembe with hopes of pouring more water onto the convincing 4-0 victory over Soana in their previous league match.
The hosts, Kirinya Jinja SS are on an agonizing aftermath of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of KCCA courtesy of a late Derrick Nsibambi header in the 86th minute that saw their proud impressive 7-match unbeaten run come to an end.
The Charles Ayiekoh coached men are comfortably sitting in the 4th position on 34 points whereas their opponents Express FC are tottering at the negative end of the table in the 14th position with only 19 points garnered from 21 games played.

Express have only registered one win on the road in the 10 games they have played this season, losing 8 others and drawing once. On contrast, Kirinya Jinja SS have had Bugembe stadium has their stronghold this season, winning 6 of the 11 games they have hosted, drawing thrice and losing only twice to Soana and most recently to KCCA.
This will be the 5th tie between the two sides in all competitions with Kirinya Jinja SS seeking their first ever win over the embattled former league champions. Express has managed 2 slim victories, one in the Uganda cup (2-1) the other (1-0) in the league last season.
The other two previous encounters have ended in stalemates including the 0-0 in the reverse fixture when the two clashed at Wankulukuku at the start of the season.
Ayiekoh will ring 3 changes in the starting eleven as Faizal Muwawu, Fred Amaku and goalkeeper Didi Muhammad are expected to replace Joel Madondo, Mark Bamukyaye and Emmanuel Rubankene respectively. Anthony Mayanja returns from suspension and will make it to the bench.
His counterpart Shafiq Bisaso has all players at his disposal available for selection save for diminutive winger Sam Galiwango and defender Shafiq Kakeeto. Bisaso will hope to have free scoring Michael Birungi at his best together with Ayub Kisalita, Alfred Leku and Jalil Zimula if at all he stands a chance to pick positive results from Jinja.
The pair of Birungi and Kisalita has scored 7 of the 10 goals Express has managed since the start of the second round.
To bounce back to the rails, Kirinya Jinja SS will seek for inspiration from forwards Fred Amaku and Musa Esenu who have scored 15 goals combined so far this season. Esenu has 8, Amaku has 7.
Express stand a possible chance of leaving the red zone for the first time since November 21st since a win can help them leapfrog 13th placed UPDF and 12th placed Mbarara City courtesy of a superior goal difference provided other results go their way.
Victory for Kirinya Jinja SS can only keep them in their fourth position and in the elusive pursuit for the 3rd spot currently occupied by one of the title contenders, Vipers who have 39 points.
