Newly promoted side Masavu FC host Police FC in their first game in the top flight at Bugonga Fisheries Training Institute grounds in Entebbe. Police have had a near perfect pre season having lost only once in a 3-1 defeat to BUL FC.

They did their transfer business early and head coach Abdallah Mubiru was accorded enough time to assemble and ready his side for the new season. The cops will look to new signings Gift Ali, Norman Ojik and youngster Albert Mugisa for ignition. Juma Balinya also looks to have found his feet at and this match will present him a big platform to announce his return.

Masavu FC made it to the top tier last season after winning the Rwenzori group of the fufa big league last season and played the play off final with Maroons but unfortunately lost 2-1.

Police look a rejuvenated side under Abudallah Mubiru after spending last season in the negative side of the table only to survive relegation on the last day of the season.

Masavu starts a new life without Allan Kabonge and comes in today’s clash with a duo of Alex Gitta and Joseph Mutyaba.

Masavu fc has had a change in adminstration after Anthony Kimuli bought majority shares in the team. However, the Entebbe based outfit has been associated with a lot of irregularities in terms of preseason preparations the same reason coach Alex Isabirye left a week after reaching an agreement the club.

The hosts will rely on the services of Andama Onesus, Sadala Ddumba, Isaac Odeke and former Express FC goalkeeper Ivan Mutumba.
