Relegation threatened UPDF host Vipers Sc in the Azam Uganda Premier league encounter in Bombo tomorrow.

The venoms come into this encounter back of a 1-0 win away to Mbarara City courtesy of a strike from Congolese talisman Moussa Clovis Mbayi, while the army side suffered a 1-0 away defeat to Soana in their previous fixture.

hasn’t lost to tomorrow’s opponents in the last four seasons and have won six of the last eight contests. The last time they tasted defeat to UPDF was during the 2012/13 season.

Last season during the league meetings between them, Vipers Sc won 2-0 at Kitende and were held 1-1 in the reverse fixture in Bombo.

Steven Bogere’s side will miss the services of Isaa Mubiru through suspension after accumulating 3 bookings, whereas long term absentee Halid Lwaliwa is still on the sidelines for the visitors.

Milton Karisa and Moussa are expected to be vital for Miguel Da Costa’s side, Duncan Sseninde’s return from injury is also a boost for Vipers Sc.
UPDF will bank on former Vipers Sc player Julius Malingumu alongside skipper Denis Sekitoleko who returns from suspension.

Vipers Sc currently lies third with 15 points on the table, a win tomorrow will take them to the summit in case other results go in their favour, whereas UPDF are second from the bottom on 5 points.
