Proline host in form KCCA Fc in the Lugogo derby at Startimes Stadium Lugogo. The encounter comes when Kcca Fc is on a red-hot form while Proline are the opposite basing on the performances of both sides in the previous fixtures.
KCCA Fc has won all their three previous fixtures prior to this tie. They won against Vipers Sc, Soana and Police and have scored a total of 9 goals, 6 of the goals scored have come from Mohammad Shaban only conceding once.
Meanwhile, Proline is yet to taste victory in the previous four games, lost twice and drawn two indicating how things are not moving in the right direction for Mujib Kasule’s side.
Both sides have previously met 10 times with KCCA Fc the dominant side having won 6, lost twice and drawn only two times.
Last season KCCA Fc managed a double over their opponents winning 2-0 at Proline and 3-2 in the reverse fixture as hosts.
KCCA duo of Mohammad Shaban and Timothy Awany were set to undergo a late fitness test ahead of this game while Proline’s Noordin Bunjo and Joshua Okiror of Proline are likely to miss the contest through injuries.
In case Mohammad Shaban misses out Kcca Fc has plenty of options and will trust Derrick Nsibambi and Paul Mucureezi to guide them to victory whereas Sula Matovu, Joseph Mandela and David Awori are expected to have a great impact in guiding Proline to any positive result.
Mujib Kasule the Proline head coach is upbeat that his side will manage to go pound for pound against one of the most in form teams. He says,
“We Know KCCA FC is good, they have good players and they are the defending champions so they need this match but we also need it very much because we have not been winning so hopefully today we can raise up”
Mike Mutebi on the other hand says that he is delighted that his team have picked momentum at the right time and tgeyvare ready for any challenge.
“We would not worry about every club we are to play because this is a marathon whether it’s Proline, Sc Villa, Police whoever, so they also want to come and represent themselves to win. But we are not worried though we have a responsibility to try to play and get a good result.”
KCCA Fc currently lies second on the table with 22 points in 11 games while Proline is just a place above the relegation with 11 points in 12 games played.
A KCCA win will see them leapfrog Police off the summit whereas any win for Proline will see them move places away from the drop zone.
