After a 1-0 win over proline FC, Kirinya Jinja SS Fc is highly motivated as they host Police Fc at Bugembe Stadium in the 4th meeting between the two sides in the top tier division.

Police has so far been the dominant side in this fixture, having won twice of the previous 3 meetings with Kirinya winning once.
When the two sides met in the first round this season Police Fc won 1-0 in Namboole courtesy of a Willy Macuro own goal.

Charles Ayiekoh’s beleaguered troops upset the applecart in ambushing Proline 1-0 at Lugogo last time while cops had to settle for a barren stalemate with the Ankole lions at Namboole.

The Kirinya tactician is optimistic that his side will be able to fight for three points over Police,

“Our target tomorrow is to get three points though it won’t be an easy game but we head in this fixture well motivated following our away win over Proline on Saturday.

” If we manage to win our first four second round games then we shall have sealed topflight safety which and our focus shall turn to finishing high on the table.”

His counter part Abdallah Mubiru has called for his side to be more prolific in front of goal as he believes it won’t be an easy game. He says,

“It’s always tough to play against Jinja teams away but we have the team to compete and win. What we have to improve is proficiency in front of goal which cost us against Mbarara City.”

Captain George Kasonko remains on the sidelines while Joram Kirya and Muhammad Didi are awaiting clearance from Fufa.
Bashir Mutanda, Sabir Nesta have all fully recovered for this contest.

Juma Balinya, Ruben Kimera and Simon Tamale will miss out as Police visit Jinja. Pius Kaggwa is yet to be cleared by the federation. The good news for the cops is that Basani Saafi, Steven Mugisha are back into the team.

Fred Amaku, Faizal Muwawu and Musa Esenu are expected to boost the hosts attack while Norman Ogik and Albert Mugisa are expected to lift up the cops.

Kirinya currently sits 7th placed on the table with 21 points whereas Police Fc is in 5th place with 25 points.
A repeat of a similar display as that against Proline will propel the Jinja outfit to back to back victories.
