BUL Fc will begin the new season with a home encounter against new comers Mbarara City at Kakindu Stadium.The Eastern based club will be seeking to start on a high note in front of their home fans, as they look forward for an impressive 2017/18 season.
Tomorrow’s opponents Mbarara City come into this game days after unveiling a 200 Ugandan million sponsorship deal with Top bet. The new entrants in the league will rely on the experience of head coach Richard Makumbi and his assistant Bainomugisha Viali, who are not new in the coaching sector and this will be a major factor for the Ankole lions if they are to get a result from Jinja.
Kefa Kisala who was sacked by the tax collectors URA last season, returns to BUL Fc for a second stint and he will be working towards marking his return on a high.
BUL fc come into this encounter without Mwindu John whose International transfer certificate is yet to be cleared by the governing body. They will have to look for inspiration from new signings Brian Kakaire, Daniel Shabena, Patrick Asiku who returned from Soana plus the old ones in captain Hakim Magombe, Patrick Ssembuya and Fred Agandu.
Wol Makweth and Ahebwa James who scored 22 goals in the FUFA big league last season are to lead the scoring.
Midfielder Bassey Methodius is out for four months after sustaining a knee injury in the KCCA friendly meaning that Solomon Okwalinga will earn his debut. Team captain and the longest serving player at the club , Othieno Steven is also injured but waiting for a late fitness test.
This is the first time BUL fc is meeting Mbarara city in the top tier but both will be aiming for a positive result in the game tomorrow at Kakindu Stadium
