Maroons hosts Mbarara City at Prisons grounds in Luzira as round 12 of the Azam Uganda premier league takes center stage.

The visitors are yet to confirm their new head coach heading in this fixture, though speculation has it that Thiery Hitimana will be officially unveil as the new head coach on Thursday this week.

Asaph Mwebaze and his troops come into this fixture after forcing Vipers Sc to a 1-1 draw at St. Mary’s Stadium Kitende thanks to Solomon Walusimbi while the Ankole lions defeated UPDF 2-1 at Kakyeka Stadium.

Maroons has drawn three in a row and won twice in the last five games while Mbarara City has only won once, lost and drawn twice in the last five games.

The Prisons side will miss the services of Richard Ayiko, Allan Anguyo and long term absentee Patrick Gonahasa whereas Marko Bassey , Siraje Musindo will again miss out with illness, Yeseri Waibi faces a late fitness test as Santos Hakizimana remains on the sidelines for Mbarara City.

Pius Obuya, Ronald Orombi and Solomon Walusimbi will be vital for the home side while the western region side will bank on Wol Makweth and center half Hilary Mukundane.

Salim Brandon will again be in the Mbarara City dugout like in the previous game against UPDF and will be seeking to lead the club to their first win on the road this season.

Maroons currently lies 7th on the table with 15 points in 11 games while Mbarara City is lying 10th on the log with 13 points collected after 11 matches.
