The fourth spot is up for grabs as Maroons takes on a high flying Kirinya Jinja SS side at Luzira prisons ground.

Maroons comes into this fixture having not tasted defeat in the previous 15 league games whereas there opponents have won 4 of their last league outings.

Kirinya Jinja SS sit 4th on the table with 31 points collected from 20 games while Maroons FC are in the 5th position with 30 points.

Maroons’ Asaph Mwebaze has vowed to extend his tem’s unbeaten record in an attempt to consolidate their position on the table. He said,

” We are the hosts and everyone knows what it means to play at home ground. We shall not settle for anything less than a win”.

In response to Mwebaze, Charles Ayiekoh said ;

“Both teams are youthful and have been very high-flying in the second round so far but the fact we have been better gives us and advantage to edge them”.

The visitors come into this game after edging UPDF 3-0 in their last game courtesy of goals from Joel Madondo, Musa Esenu and Bashir Mutanda.

The reverse fixture between the two sides was played to 2-2 stalemate at the Kyabazinga stadium in Bugembe.

Maroons FC begun their second round with a draw away against Sc Villa at Masaka. They then drew with Masavu before winning again 1-0 against Police , drawing again 1-1 against Vipers and winning away against Mbarara City Fc.

Kirinya Jinja SS on the other hand, has won 4 of the 5 games so far played in the second round of the season and the other game away against Soana played 2-2 to a stalemate.
