Second placed KCCA play hosts to a struggling Express FC side at the StarTimes stadium in Lugogo as the AUPL first round officially concludes.
KCCA come into this fixture after earning a hard fought 2-1 win against Kirinya Jinja SS whereas Express lost to Vipers 2-1 at home in the mid week.
The hosts have no room to entertain any slips as they are trailing to SC Villa who comfortably sit 5 points above them at the summit of the table. Express on the other hand infamously sits second from the bottom with only 11 points from 14 games played.

The last 8 previous meetings between the two sides have seen KCCA emerge a dominant side winning 4 and drawing 3 times. The only Express win (3-0) came in 2015 at Lugogo.
When the two sides met head to head in the league last season, KCCA managed a double over Express winning 3-1 at Lugogo and 1-0 at Wankulukuku.
Mike Mutebi men are undefeated at home having won 5 of the 7 last home league games, drawing only twice (against Maroons and Bright Stars) and scoring 17 goals.
Express are among the poor travellers in the league having won only once and lost 5 in their 6 games on the road this season. They are also on a four match losing streak and have only won and drawn once in their last nine league games. They have lost seven in nine.
Dan Serunkuuma is expected to replicate his predatory instincts for the Red Eagles if they are to achieve something from this duel. On contrast, KCCA will bank on a lethal attacking line that accommodates Shaban Muhammad, Derrick Nsibambi and Patrick Kaddu among others.
A victory for KCCA keeps them in close contention for the top position but not enough to dislodge SC Villa. On the other hand a win can only elevate Express to the 14th position.
