The defending champions will today host the students of Kirinya Jinja S. S at the Phillip Omondi stadium at 4:30 pm
The two sides have met only twice and these meetings came last season. The most memorable being the one at Lugogo where the hosts whitewashed their visitors 5-1, the opposite fixture in Jinja had ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
It’s imperative to note that KCCA had the highest number of players at National duty for both the Hippos and the senior team that represented in the CECAFA championships.
Kirinya Jinja S. S will be without head coach Timothy Ayiekho who begins to serve his 4 match touchline ban slapped on him by the league committee for improper conduct.
They will also have to contend with the injured duo of Livingstone Mulondo and Faizal Muwawu. However Andrew Basoma and Sabir Nesta will be available for selection.
KCCA have registered 4 wins at home and they will look to build on that when Kirinya who have lost 4 times away visits.
