Tax collectors URA fc will this evening host defending Champions KCCA fc in the Azam Uganda Premier League in a bid to get back on track after failing to win in their previous two league matches.
New KCCA signings Mohammed Shaban and Allan Kateregga will make their debuts today according to head coach Mike Mutebi,
” Yes Shaban and Kateregga will play a part in this game against URA, we are proud of our strong forward line and we expect them to hit the ground running “.
Last season URA won 1:0 in the first round in Lugazi courtesy of a Peter Lwasa header. The return match at Lugogo was not a walk over for the hosts as they struggled to pick a draw in their own backyard from a much contested game where the visitors dominated play and the hosts came from behind on two occasions to end the game 2:2 .
Going into this fixture, URA look to have an upper hand having won 6 games in the last 14 ties with KCCA fc winning only 4 games and the other 4 games ending in stalemates.
Ibrahim Kirya’s men have also scored 19 goals against Mike Mutebi’s men who have scored only 18 goals in the previous 14 meetings earning the latter 22 points against the former’s 16 points.
KCCA come into this game in a more re energised mood having whipped Onduparaka fc with 4:1 in their previous game while URA are in a low mood having lost their last game 1:0 to Kirinnya Jinja ss away in Bugembe.
Midfielder Hood Mulikyi and defender Julius Mutyaba are expected to return for URA today whereas Timothy Awanyi and Paul Musamali are out with illness for KCCA FC.
