Defending champions Kcca will try to make up for the unexpected home draw against newly promoted side Maroons in their first match as they visit UPDF FC at Bombo barracks grounds.
Mike Mutebi is to ring changes in the team that played a goalless stalemate with Maroons. 1st choice goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan returns in between the sticks and he is expected to replace Charles Lukwago who had an impressive and lively game in the previous match.
Newly signed striker Patrick Kaddu is expected to replace Tito Okello upfront after missing out on the first team against his former club on Tuesday. Kaddu will be pairing with Derrick Nsibambi in the hunt for the goals.
UPDF coach Moses Basena is also expected to ring a few changes in the today’s match following his observation in his side’s last match against URA saying his team conceded defendable goals. Striker Julius Malingumu is still sidelined through injury.
Tactically, the Cranes interim coach is expected to opt for a more defensive approach of 5-4-1 and an introduction of experienced legs Derrick Walulya who started at the bench in Namboole.
Last season, when the two sides met, KCCA won both encounters with identical scores of 1-0. Paul Mucureezi won it for KCCA at Lugogo while striker Geoffrey Serunkuma did the same in Mwererwe where the two sides met by then.
