Vipers SC edged Maroons 2-0 in a Uganda Premier league contest at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende.
The hosts were awarded a penalty by center referee Madanda Ronald in the 37th minute when Bronson Nsubuga made a slight contact on youngster Aziz Kayondo.
Tom Masiko was entrusted with the responsibility and calmly converted from the spot. Before he fired the home side into the lead, Maroons players and fans protested against the referee’s call.

Maroons had a golden opportunity to pull one back in the later stages of the game but Pius Obuya flashed his effort from the spot wide after Kiyemba had handled the ball inside the box.
