Mawokota progressed to the Masaza Cup quarter finals following a 1-1 draw with Busiro at Mpigi grounds.
The hosts began the game needing only a draw to advance whereas Busiro wanted nothing less than a victory to make the last eight.

Richard Basangwa drew the first blood with a wonderful strike in the 21st minute putting Mawokota in the driving seat.
Busiro’s Andrew Kigozi had a chance to level the scores but his effort went wide.
In resumption for the second period, Busiro’s mounting pressure paid off in the 66th minute when Brian Kayanja’s screamer from 30 yards hit the back of the net.
Emmanuel Rubankene had a great opportunity to find the winner for Mawokota but Busiro goalkeeper was equal to the challenge to deny him.
The full-time whistle sent the home fans in a frenzy as Mawokota joined Busujju from group D to advanced to the quarter finals courtesy of a superior goal difference.
Busiro’s journey in this year’s Masaza cup edition painfully came to an end following a stalemate though they finished with the same number of points with Mawokota who progressed
