MASAZA CUP: Kkooki to face off with Mawogola amidst political wrangles

The Airtel Masaza cup continues this weekend with group A and B set to play their 4th and final games of first round. Both groups comprise of five teams unlike group B and C and each team plays a total of 8 group matches.

In group A Buvuma will host Mawokota tomorrow at Kasaali.

We have prepared well for Mawokota, no injury concerns and we hope to get a great result at home tomorrow.” said Buvuma Coach Farouk Kigongo.

Buvuma’s last game was a 1-1 draw away to Kyaddondo while Mawokota shared a 1-1 draw with Busiro at home.
Buvuma have 5 points while Mawokota have only registered one point so far.
Still in the same group Butambala will host Kyaddondo at Kibibi S.S grounds tomorrow.

Buddu visit Ssesse today at Lutoboka in group B, Buddu’s last game was a 2-1 home win against Kkooki on 28th/5/2017 while Ssesse come into this game after a 5-1 loss away to Kkooki last weekend.

In the same group, Mawogola host Kkooki at Sembabule tomorrow, Mawogola are bottom of group B with 2 points in 3 games.
Mawogola coach Brian Ssenyondo says

We have prepared well and our aim is to pass through the group phase,”

He added,” Kkooki is a good team but last year we got 4 points off them that is 2-1 at home and a 1-1 draw away. We don’t have serious injuries but midfielder Kennedy Zola is doubtful.

Kkooki who are top of group B on 6 points want to continue with the great run according to coach Nsamba Andrew,

We are very ready for the game only goalkeeper Ssekajugo Jonathan is injured but under treatment and we will get the points.”

Speaking about the Kamuswaga , Nsamba adds

It seems he has wrangles with the Buganda Kingdom but as a team we have a management that takes care of us and i assure Kkooki people we will play tomorrow”.
