Ssese appointed Hamidu Kibirango as their head coach for this year’s Airtel Masaza Cup.
Kibirango replaced Fred Kasekende who guided Ssese to the quarterfinals of the competition last year, losing out to runners up Busiro.
He will be assisted by Ali Gwayita Muwanga and Peter Lubega as the goalkeeping coach.

“We have confidence that Kibirango and his entire technical staff will deliver success this year.” We lost to Busiro in the quarterfinals last year, but this time our target is to win the event.” He stated.
Airtel Uganda are the main sponsors of the event that has been a breakthrough for players such as Farouk Miya, Ismail Kazibwe, Geoffrey Wasswa, Ashraf Mandela, Pius Wangi, Emmanuel Arnold Okwi, Mike Serumagga, Denis Mwemezi, Fahad Bayo Aziz, Edrisa Lubega, Steven Mukwala among others.
