MASAZA CUP: Buddu, Ssingo get first leg advantage

Ssingo and Buddu moved a step closer to this year’s Masaza Cup final after registering first leg victories in their respective semi final games.

Buddu picked a crucial away 1-0 win over Busujju at Kakindu stadium in Mityana.

Lanky striker Frank Ssebuufu scored the all important goal in the first half to send his season tally to 5 goals.

At Mityana Ssaza ground, 2015 champions Ssingo edged rivals and neighbors Buwekula 2-0 courtesy of a first half brace from Jude Semugabi.

Semugabi, who will turn up for Premier league side Mbarara City next season, now tops the scorers’ chat with 8 goals.

As it stands, Buddu and Ssingo are set to complete a remarkable replay of the the 2015 finals, should they progress as expected.

The semi final return leg will be played on the weekend of 7th October 2018
