Masavu FC welcomes Bright Stars looking for the first win in the second round after four consecutive games ending in draws. They played to a barren draw against KCCA and Maroons and a all one draw against BUL FC and UPDF.
Masavu comes into this encounter looking on how to maximise the points to move away from the relegation zone while the opponents Bright Stars target a positive result to stay away from the relegation zone.
Masavu FC played to a 1-1 draw with BUL FC in Kakindu with ten men James Kasibante scoring a late equaliser in the 85th minute as well as Bright Stars drawing 1-1 with SC Villa in their last fixture.
This is the second meeting between the two sides and the first one was the first round of the 2017-2018 season ending 1-1 at Champions Stadium Mwererwe.

Masavu has had a poor performance home in the 10 games played home they have managed two wins, 2 draws and defeated on lost six times.
Bright Stars are yet to register any win in the eight games played away from home loosing four and drawing four.
Head coach Paul Kiwanuka asserts that despite their poor form on the road, his team has to utilise this opportunity to stretch their gap from the relegation pack. He says,
“This is a serious game, we are taking on an in form team that is yet to lose a game in the second round of the league”.
“We are coming to their home to fight for maximum points because we can’t afford to lose against a team below us as we need to protect the space between the relegation zone teams and ourselves”
Skipper Abraham Ndugwa ,Arthur Ssemazzi ,Salim Wekiya and James Kasibante will guide the hosts to the third win home as they are to miss out the services of Moses Kiggundu who was shown matching orders as they played BUL FC but welcoming back Herbert Kakande who missed in their last fixture due to suspended.
Striker Ddumba Sadala and coach Gitta Alex will boost the camp after serving a four match ban as they are back.
For Bright stars, first choice keeper Hamza Muwonge returns after missing the double header against SC Villa and no other serious injuries have been reported.
A win can help Joseph Mutyaba’s man move away from the relegation zone and incase Bright Stars maximises the points they can move a position or two above from 9th.
