Masavu Fc will host Vipers Sc in the first ever encounter between the two sides at Bugonga fisheries grounds tomorrow, this game has been dubbed as the Entebbe road derby since both teams are neighbours based on Entebbe road.
The new entrants Masavu Fc come in this game at the back of a disappointing 1-0 loss to Soana in their previous game while the Visitors were 1-0 victors over fellow title contenders Villa on Saturday at home in Kitende.
Masavu will greatly put their trust in skipper Mansoor Mutumba alongside Abraham Nduggwa and Dumba Sadala who have always risen to the occasion as in the remarkable 1-0 away win to Proline.
Jorge Da Costa’s side are yet to concede a league goal in 270 minutes and are currently second on the summit, a win for them tomorrow will leapfrog Current leaders Police at the top.
Vipers will still be without Congolese striker Mbayi, Duncan Seninde and Frank Tumwesigye through injury, Milton Karisa who limped out of Saturday’s game has shaken off his minor injury and he will feature tomorrow.
Vipers SC coach Jorge Da Costa told the club official website that,
” We have gathered some momentum and the boys are improving with each game. We are going to push our opponent harder for the best results and hopefully all goes well.’
Masavu coach Joseph Mutyaba projects a good game for his side and he insists they are not fazed by the stage, he says
“We are set for the game and all players are fit for selection with no injuries, but we will be very grateful in case the game isn’t officiated by referees who baby sit big clubs.
“We were disappointed with referee Opio Titus who wasn’t fair on our side, this time i hope if the referee is fair enough we shall get positive results.”
Masavu have only won once this season, lost once and forfeited 3 points in their unplayed opening day fixture against Police FC.
