At the beginning of second half both teams made some changes with Pius Obuya coming in for Ronald Kikonyogo and Charles Wamala paving way for Fred Umony for Maroons and Masavu respectively. This increased on the attacking of both sides.

Solomon Walusimbi who had replaced William Wadri in the 72nd minute took only 8 minutes to break the deadlock heading in a well taken corner from Right back Eddie Kapampa and put Maroons in the lead.

In the dying minutes Robert Ssentongo almost scored for Masavu but Ashadu Bugembe was good enough to get the ball on the line game ending 0-1 in favour of Maroons.

Coach Asaph Mwebaze was very pleased with the results and he thinks his target of surviving relegation is likely to be resolved.;

“It has been hard work and commitment from my players that we have managed to go away with these points on a worst playing surface like this. Since our main target is to stay in the league ,these are kind of the games you have to win.”

Masavu FC lies at the bottom of the table with 4.points as Maroons FC is 9th with 9 points.Masavu FC will play KCCA FC on 4th November at Star times Stadium Lugogo as Maroons FC hosts Proline on 31st October at Luzira Prisons.
