Maroons rally twice to snatch a point against Police

Maroons FC 2-2 Police FC

Just like in the reverse fixture at Lugogo, Maroons FC came from behind twice to draw 2-2 with Police FC in a game played at Luzira prisons ground.

The Cops drew first blood courtesy of Juma Balinya’s 17th goal of the season in the 41st minute.

Eddie Kapampa restored parity with a well taken free kick four minutes later.

Ruben Kimera restored Police’s lead two minutes into the second half from a counter attack.

Ten minutes to normal time, Sylvester Okello tied the encounter at 2-2 and ultimately won a point for the Prisons Warders.

Abdallah Mubiru’s men are now ninth with 33 points garnered from 25 outings. Maroons are 12th with 26 points, 6 above the drop zone.

Next on card for Police will be a home game against Onduparaka on Tuesday 9th April while Maroons host Tooro United the day after.
