Maroons ends winless streak as Kigezi, Blacks Power and Tooro United record vital victories

Maroons, Mbale Heroes, Blacks Power, Tooro United, Kigezi HomeBoyz all registered victories as matchday eight of the FUFA Big League climaxed

In the Elgon group, Maroons edged debutants Gadaffi 2-0 to return to winning ways following a four match winless run to deny Gadaffi a chance to go on top of Elgon group.

Bronson Nsubuga and Fred Amaku scored in the 2nd and 11 minutes respectively as Maroons completed a double over Hassan Zzungu’s coached side.

At Emokori Grounds in Bukedea Michael Siwu bagged a brace in Blacks Power’s 2-0 win over Calvary Football Club.

At Mbale Municipal Stadium, super substitute Brian Olega came from bench to save Mbale Heroes against Paidha Black Angels.

Olega who came in at the halftime break scored the all important goal in the 65th minute.

Rwenzori Group:

Kigezi HomeBoyz registered a slim 1-0 victory over struggling Water Football Club courtesy of Dickson Niwamannya’s goal.

Marvin Oshaba was the hero in Tooro United’s 1-0 victory over Proline at Buhinga Stadium a result that saw Tooro United go on top of Rwenzori Group.

Ndejje University and Tiles and Tiles shared spoils in a one all draw at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara.

Brian Ssali scored for Ndejje University while Huzeifa Barigye was on target for Terrazo and Tiles.
