Rashid Agau was the scorer of the solitary goal that gave Maroons FC a 1-0 over Kyetume at Luzira Prisons grounds.

Agau headed home a well delivered cross from Eddie Kapampa in the 10th minute and ultimately gave Douglas Bamweyana his maiden win as Maroons coach.

Robert Sentongo, Cephas Kambugu and Patrick Ochan had attempts to level scores but couldn’t beat debut making goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo.

Substitute Seif Batte who replaced Patrick Ochan in the 51st minute nearly put the game to level with five minutes to full-time only to be denied by Sylvester Okello.

Goal scorer Agau was named man of the match at the end of the day.

Both teams will be back in action on Friday 6th September. Maroons will be hosting KCCA FC at Luzira while Kyetume will play URA at Namboole.
