Mane strikes to end Uganda’s impressive AFCON journey

Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane scored in the 5th minute to put an end to Uganda’s AFCON expedition.

The striker also missed a second half penalty in the 60th minute thanks to Denis Onyango’s heroics.

The west Africans enjoyed a lion’s share of possession but the Cranes defence denied them from making it count.

Uganda were dealt a blow when defender Hassan Wasswa pulled a muscle that forced him off in the 18th minute.

Uganda’s best opportunity for a goal came through Emma Okwi who send a powerful shot but Alfred Gomis was equal to the challenge.

Senegal will now take on Benin who had earlier on shocked Morocco in the first match of the day.
