Magogo to expose people behind the negative forces

On Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 Federation of the Uganda Associations (FUFA) President Moses Hashim Magogo made a majestic return to office after 73 days.

On 28th September 2019, Magogo announced at 95th FUFA AGM in Adjumani District in West Nile that he was to step aside for 2 months as the case against him before FIFA by MP Allan Ssewanyana regarding the sale of FIFA 2014 World Cup tickets is officially closed.

FIFA officially confirmed on 10th October, 2019 that FUFA boss was to be suspended for two months from football related activities and fined close to Shs 37m.

Magogo said during a planned welcome back party that was organized at Skyz Marriott Hotel, Naguru that he is to organize a function and expose the people who behind the negative forces

“This is an an emotional moment for me and sincerely, being away for a number of days I have forgotten some terms related to football.

During the time have been out of office, I have seen very good friends and those who were celebrating.” No body has diligence apart from me and my lawyers and I will organize a function and many will be shocked by the actions of some people, individuals, the amount of energy, effort and the target being the person heading the federation.”

He also praised the Acting FUFA President Justus Mugisha and the Executive committee, Secretariat for the tremendously running the Federation in his absence.

“The institution of FUFA is very strong and am proud of the Executive committee to see that things have been running well.” We may have achieved many things and to me finishing third in the CECAFA Senior Women Challenge Cup is also an achievement.” Leadership comes from God and am proud that have been involving Mr. Mugisha in many football related activities and I had trust in him that he was to deliver.” He added.

The function was attended by Members of Parliament Patrick Ogwang, Ondonga Otto and Bernard Mugena, Uganda Netball Federation president Susan Anek and Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) President Nasser Sserunjongi, FUFA executive committee and delegations all were in attendance.
