Lweza Fight For Their Lives In Visit To KCCA

The news about the capture of Saddam Juma from rivals Express Fc has dominated all the headlines in and around Kampala but that will be a topic for an other day since KCCA have a big game ahead from which they only need a point to be announced as the Champions of the Azam Uganda Premier League for the season 2016/17.

KCCA were handed a clearer path to the Azam Uganda Premier League title on the 28th of April after a disjointed SC Villa threw away a 2-0 lead to draw against Police, on the same evening KCCA through Paul Mucurezi made no mistake when he scored the all important winner gainst city rivals Express Fc at Wankukuluku. KCCA further convincingly swept aside Jinja based side with a cricket score of 5-1 to take more grip on the championship.

The trophy can now be secured for the second time in a row if they manage to only collect a point against relegation battling Lweza Fc on the 9th of May 2017.

For the neutrals, a KCCA’s loss would be the best result to keep the title race a bit more interesting but that is not going to happen. Mike Mutebi’s men are far too good whereas Lweza aren’t the side you can bank on to cause an upset especially at Lugogo. Lweza may be scrapping for their lives and defeat at the hands of KCCA may spell doom for the Entebbe road based side should Kirinya who are playing at home to the already relegated JMC better their result.

These two have met 5 times and Lweza surprisingly have beaten KCCA on 2 occassions, KCCA won once and 2 draws.
Hamza Kalanzi’s side need to dig deeper than they did against Express Fc when they produced a life saving display and won 4-2. Experienced talisman Owen Kasule, Captain Swaibu Mudde , Ronald Muganga, Sula Bagala, Juma Balinya all to bring out their A game. Lweza have not won away in the last 5 visits in the league having only managed to collect 3 points and losing 2 of them.

We are bound to either see tears or joy but not both, except fire works at Lugogo

They wish for it, we work for it.
