10 time champions KCCA sailed to a slim 1-0 victory over Big league side Nyamityobora FC at Kakyeka grounds to seal their place in the round of 16.

The Kasasiro boys had won the reverse fixture 4-2 at Lugogo and Nyamityobora had to score 2 unanswered goals to overturn the tie.

Substitute Charles Lwanga continued with his splendid form that has seen him hit 9 goals already for his new side. He connected with Julius Poloto’s pass to put Morley Byekwaso’s men in the lead.

KCCA should have scored a little earlier but Sam Ssenyonjo’s header off Sadat Anaku’s cross hit the top bar on 31 minutes.

They join the already qualified BUL, Proline, Maroons, URA, Vipers , Tooro United, Express FC and Wakiso Giants in the round of 16.

Focus for Byekwaso’s men now turns to the Uganda Premier league where they will visit joint table leaders URA at the Arena of Visoins on 13th April.
