Luweero United strengthen squad with six new signings

Ahead of the second round of the FUFA Big League, debutants Luweero United have strengthened their squad with six new acquisitions.

The new faces at the Luweero based club are Sydney Ssenyonga and Fred Umony formerly at UPDF, David Kakeeto once at Express, Calvin Tah, Godfrey Kiyagga and Jonathan Kalemera from Wembley and Lungujja Galaxy respectively.

Calvin Peter Mugerwa the man at the helms of Luweero United has a lot of confidence in the new signings as he believes their experience will be of a great value,

“We tried our best in the first round. I believe the boys gave their best but at times we lost the games we were not supposed to lose.”

“Three of the new added new faces have been here and their experience will help out so we expect a lot from them.” Mugerwa added

Luweero United is in the Rwenzori group and finished the first round fourth with eight points from seven games.

They kick start the second round with a visit to Mbarara to play against fellow debutants Terrazzo & Tiles at Kakyeka Stadium.
