Luwagga speaks about scoring form, pays tribute to Chadwick Boseman

Uganda Cranes and Hapoel Kfar Saba forward William Kizito Luwagga has been in prolific form for his club who are currently third on the Israeli Premier league log with 3 points garnered in their opening fixture.

Luwagga who has scored 4 goals in the last 5 games for his Israeli outfit says that hard work, determination and his teammates are the key reasons for his impressive performances.

On the what is his objectives for his club this season, the former Vipers winger says he wants a have a brilliant campaign this season with more goals,

“My main objective is to help the team win games and have a fantastic season. I also want to improve on my performances on an individual basis by scoring more goals and creating chances for my teammates.”

He added,

Luwagga also opened up on his match-winning goal celebration against Hapoel Tel Aviv over the weekend which was in memory for the fallen Black panther movie star Chadwick Boseman who succumbed to cancer last week.

“I can only say representativeness is the water that makes hope grow. It is what feeds the dream and dreams like legends. Rest in peace, my black hero.”

Last season was Luwagga’s first in Israel and saw him score two goals for the Kfar Saba side in the 10 games and subsequently signed a contract extension.

Luwagga has 38 National team caps with 1 goal and has previously featured for Vipers SC, Leixoes, Sporting Covilha, CD Feirense and Rio Ave (all Portuguese clubs).

He has also played for CMS Politehnica Iasi in Romania before he was sent on loan to Belarusian champions BATE Borisov, Shakhter Karagandy and lately Hapoel Kfar Saba.

Hapoel Kfar Saba will next face Maccabi Petah Tikva in their second league encounter on Saturday 12th September.
