The organisers of the Fortebet Real Stars Sports Awards have on Tuesday morning rewarded the outstanding sports personalities for the month of May at the ceremony held at Route256, Lugogo.
Express FC forward Eric Kambale was crowned the best footballer of the month. He scored eight goals in six games to beat teammate Mathias Muwanga and URA FC striker Steven Mukwala.
Kambale was represented by the Red Eagles CEO Isaac Mwesigwa at the awarding ceremony.

Jacob Kiplimo who won gold in 10000m at Ostrava Golden Spike Championship in Czech Republic beat Joshua Cheptegei and Prisca Chesanga to the best Athlete of the month of May.
Thomas Opio of Wanainchi was named the best Hockey player. He scored 10 goals from 4 games.
Opio beat Weatherhead duo of Charles Ekapolon and Timothy Ntumba to the May gong.
KIU Titans guard Faisal Aden was named best basketball player of the month, overcoming Hope Akello (JKL Lady Dolphins) and Samuel Ajax (Ndejje).
