Newly promoted Uganda Premier League entity Arua Hill SC are set to release 14 players ahead of their debut season in the topflight.
According to West Nile based publication Dribbler Sports, the Arua based club will let go of 14 players in a bid to create space for new recruits.
Among these is former Vipers, Express and Onduparaka striker Alfred Leku as well as Rashid Agau.
Iddi Abdul Wahid, Ronald Innocent, Patrick Matovu, Isaac Okello, Aggrey Atandu, Simba Sabir, Collins Olega, Emmanuel Mutebi, Bernard Sunday Yakin Rashid, Samary Ajobe and Sabir Edema are the other players.
A chunk of these have had their employment contracts expire and the club is not willing to renew them. Others found playing time hard to come their way while some did not leave to the expectations of the club.
Under the stewardship of Hussein Mbalangu, Arua Hill SC completed the recently concluded FUFA Big League season unbeaten.
They topped Elgon Group with 30 points from 14 games and subsequently gained promotion to the top tier.
Striker Yusuf Ssaka from relegated Kyetume FC is expected to join the club as preparations for the upcoming season get underway.
