Left back Muledhu agrees terms with new UPL entrants

Roving left-back Faisal Muledhu has agreed terms of a two-year contract with new league entrants MYDA FC – (Malaba Youth Development Association Football Club).

Muledhu has been a free agent since leaving BUL FC mid-way the 2018-19 Uganda Premier League season.

After successful negotiations, Muledhu will be playing for MYDA FC who are currently under the tutelage of head coach Samadu Musafiri.

The move to the UPL newbies will be a reunion between Muledhu and his former coach Musafiri who previously worked together at Sadolin Paints in the 2015-16 season.

Muledhu brings experience to the MYDA FC defensive department having previously featured for Kirinya Jinja SS (currently known as Busoga United) as well as BUL FC.

He also played for Lugazi’s Friends Soccer Academy and Risah Standard College Lugazi where he was the school team captain.

MYDA FC have so far unveiled four new players who include former AFC Leopards and Lusaka Dynamos defender Yakubu Ramathan who signed a one year contract with the club.

Midfielders Isaac Doka Mweru (formerly at Express FC), Eric Mutebi and Waiswa Kasango have also been unveiled by the newly-promoted club.

MYDA FC earned direct promotion to the Uganda Premier League after topping the Elgon Group table when the FUFA Big League was prematurely ended due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

They are expected to host their league games at the King George Stadium in Tororo.

The 2020/21 Uganda Premier League season is slated to kick off on 17th October 2020.
