Barely 24 hours from a 7-0 victory over Taita Taveta All Stars in the Sportspesa Shield Contest, Tusker FC has released a number of players in a bid to strengthen their squad prior to the Kenyan Premier league second round.

Among the host of players released by coach Robert Matano is Ugandan utility player Lawrence Kasadha.

Matono the man who took over after Sam Timbe’s exit 2 months ago has had results hard to come his way and blasted his players after a 2-0 loss at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz last week.

Kasadha together with goalkeeper David Okello, Edwin Lavasta, Paul Odhiambo and David Mwangi are the players that have been shown the exit door whereas Collins Shivachi has been sent out on loan to reunite with Paul Nkata at Kakamega Homeboyz.

Kasadha who has previously played for SC Victoria University, SC Villa, KCCA and Nairobi City Stars, has hardly had playing time with the 11-time champions since joining them in January this year. He has featured in only 4 games.

Tusker FC has had a poor run in the league and currently hover above the drop zone in the 13th place with 19 points from 17 games played. They have lost their recent 3 leagues fixtures to Kakamega Homeboyz (2-0), Kariobangi Sharks (2-1) and lowly side Nakumatt FC (2-1).
