Kyetume’s survival hopes handed huge blow by defeat to KCCA

KCCA FC returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Kyetume at the MTN Omondi Stadium on Sunday evening.

Midfielder Julius Poloto and Samuel Ssenyonjo scored in either half as the Lugogo outfit completed a double over Kyetume.

This was also their fourth league victory against Kyetume in four games.

The hosts dominated the first period and in the 23rd minute, Julius Poloto fired them into a deserved lead.

Ssenyonjo doubled their advantage five minutes after the hour mark with a superb strike.

Victory sees the Kasasiro boys reconsolidate fourth place with 43 points in 24 games.

Defeat however worsens the Slaughters woes as they remain third from the bottom with 20 points.

KCCA FC will next face UPDF FC while Kyetume next host leaders URA FC.
